May 25, 2013 / Cebu – It was an exciting affair at Focus Global’s Cebu showroom as Sub-Zero and Wolf held its first cooking demo in the Queen City of the South last May 25, 2013. The event was attended by an enthusiastic crowd eager to discover how to whip up a Greek feast in their own kitchens. Cebuanos learned to Cook and Eat Greek with Focus Global’s In-House Chef teaching them to prepare Mediterranean cuisine staples.
The demo kicked off with delicious pita bread baking in the oven while the Resident Chef showed guests how to prepare and creatively serve Tzatziki, Hummus and Skorthalia dips. Good refrigeration is key to making dips last without sacrificing the freshness and taste, and this is effortless with Sub-Zero’s superior food preservation technology. Prepared next was the Rustic Moussaka, a hearty eggplant dish with spiced meat fillings and creamy béchamel sauce. This recipe was followed by 2 other truly quintessential Greek dishes - Spanakorizo (Spinach Rice Pilaf) and Braised Beef Short Ribs with delicious Garlic Yoghurt Sauce. The Resident Chef prepared all three simultaneously without breaking a sweat, thanks to Wolf appliances’ precision cooking technology.
The cooking demo was capped off by delectable homemade Baklava, finished with the aid of volunteer cooks from the audience. It was a sweet dessert that had everyone asking for seconds!
